Captained options

Want to actually relax? Let Captain Mike take the wheel. No need to worry about navigation, docking or safety. Just bring your drinks, snacks and favorite playlist, and he can pick you up at Grills Lakeside.

Love the sandbar? Our Lake Conway boat rental in Belle Isle has a popular sandbar too, the Butler Chain of Lakes boat rental has Bird Island, and our Winter Park boat rental on Lake Maitland has Dog Island.

Which boat suits Lake Fairview?

Both boats work well here. The Hurricane deck boat is a great Lake Fairview option if you want more speed. If your day is about the sandbar, lunch at Grills Lakeside or a relaxed cruise, the pontoon gives you shade, lounge seating and room to spread out.

Grills Lakeside pickup is for captained cruises

We would rather tell you that now than after you have booked. Self-drive rentals meet us at the public ramp or your private dock, while pickup at Grills Lakeside is for captained cruises. If you want a bigger lake for the day, our Lake Toho boat rentals give you a big open lake from the Kissimmee Marina, and our St. Johns River boat rental gives you miles of river from Lake Monroe Park in DeBary.

Lake Fairview questions we get asked

Where do we meet you?

At the Lake Fairview Public Boat Ramp, 2200 Lee Rd. If you are staying on the lake, we can deliver to your private dock, and captained cruises can pick up at Grills Lakeside.

Can we stop at Grills Lakeside?

Yes. You can pull right up to the dock at Grills Lakeside for some of the best seafood and live music in Orlando.

Can Captain Mike drive for us?

Yes. Book a captained cruise and Captain Mike handles the navigation, docking and safety. He can pick you up and drop you off at Grills Lakeside.

How deep is the sandbar?

The sandbar is shallow, with waist-deep water, so it is easy to anchor, jump out and walk around.

Are life jackets on the boat?

Yes, a Coast Guard approved jacket for every seat, sized for adults and kids. Florida law says children under six wear theirs the whole time the boat is moving, so tell us how many little ones are coming when you book and we will have the right sizes aboard.

Is there a bathroom on the boat?

No, neither boat has a head. Plan a stop at Grills Lakeside or a quick run back to the ramp or your dock mid-day if you are out for a long day with kids.

Can we bring our dog?

Well behaved dogs are welcome.

What happens if it storms?

Central Florida gets short, hard afternoon storms in summer, and lightning means everyone comes off the water. We try to look at the weather the night before and make the call then. If you lose an hour or so, we can work something out.

Other lakes we deliver to

Lake Fairview is our North Orlando lake, with a public ramp or private dock handoff. If your group wants a different kind of day, one of these may be the better fit, and the same flat rate applies. We deliver to 11 lakes and chains in total. Lake Brantley and the Harris Chain are call-only.

Kissimmee. Kissimmee Marina meeting point, trophy bass fishing and wildlife.

St. Cloud. North Side public ramp, quieter water than the west lake.

Windermere. Spring-fed water and Bird Island. Private dock only.

Belle Isle. Clear water and a popular sandbar. Private dock only.

Wide river, wild banks. Fishing, manatees in the cooler months and a lot of room.

Winter Garden. Public ramp or private dock, and legendary bass fishing.

Winter Park. Fort Maitland Park public ramp or private dock, and Dog Island.

Orlando. Small, close in, and an easy first time out on the water.

Orange County. HOA private ramp handoff, so a dock or ramp is needed.
